The present Alfreton Town Football Club was formed in 1959 following the merger of Alfreton Miners Welfare and Alfreton United Football Clubs.
Alfreton have the worst disciplinary record in National League North with 86 Yellow Cards and 7 Red Cards.
Manager Billy Heath guided North Ferriby to promotion to National League in 2015-16 via the Play-Off Final and repeated the feat with Halifax Town in 2016-17.
Midfielder Callum Chettle is the son of former Nottingham Forest defender Steve Chettle. Midfielder Jordan Sinnott is the son of former Watford defender Lee Sinnott who played in the 1984 FA Cup Final against Everton.
Both sides are without a win in their last 5 games. The Reds have conceded 7 goals at home to Spennymoor Town and Altrincham.
A year to the day tomorrow FCUM lost their last visit to North Street 0-1. None of the 14 who played that day will feature today.
