In 2008 Nuneaton Borough went into liquidation and were reformed as Nuneaton Town, being demoted two divisions by the FA from Conference North to Southern League Division One. The club reverted back to Borough in 2018-19.
The 1-5 defeat at home to the Boro in December 2016 was FCUM’s heaviest FA Trophy loss.
Nuneaton are the lowest scorers in the Division with 31 and conceded the most, 80. Their 11 Red Cards is also a divisional high.
Newton Heath born Boro striker Nathan Eccleston played for Liverpool in the Premier League and Europa League between 2009-10.
Unless the Boro win today their relegation will be confirmed. They have lost their last 8 games since drawing at Hereford on January 19th.
Kurt Willoughby is one goal away from joining Stuart Rudd, Rory Patterson, Kyle Wilson, Michael Norton, Matty Wolfenden, Tom Greaves and George Thomson in scoring 20 goals in a season for FCUM.
