Leamington date back to 1891 and earned their nickname ‘The Brakes’ in 1937 when they became a works team for the Lockheed brake manufacturing company. Between 1988 and 2000 the club were in abeyance.
The Brakes were in Conference North between 2013 and 2015, finishing 13th and 21st.
Striker Ahmed Obeng netted for Rushall Olympic against FCUM in a 2-0 win at Gigg Lane in September 2013.
FCUM played at the New Windmill Ground in a friendly in July 2013, losing 0-3 to the Warwickshire side watched by 505.
Leamington lost all of their first five home League games in 2017-18.
Brakes Goalkeeper Tony Breeden converted a penalty in their 2-3 home defeat to Alfreton Town on September 5th.
FCUM have 9 points away from home with 3 fixtures remaining. Their lowest tally previously was 20 in 2009-10.
Jeff King’s hat trick last Saturday was FCUM’s first in 120 NLN Fixtures.
