The Minstermen have lost 8 of their last 11 away League fixtures.
York manager Steve Watson scored an own goal at Old Trafford in a 1-2 defeat on 02/05/1999 when playing for Aston Villa.
England manager Gareth Southgate was a team mate on that day.

'On Tuesday 26th March, FC United play York City in the National League North kick off 7:45pm.
This is the rearranged game caused by the postponement of the original match on Saturday 16th March.
On police advice the match is segregated.
Supporters in possession of vouchers given out at the turnstile on the day of the original match will be admitted to the match free of charge.
FC United supporters should access the stadium via turnstiles 4-6 at the St. Mary’s Road end.
Visiting supporters should enter via turnstiles 9 and 10 at the Lightbowne Road end.

Before the turnstiles open, FC United fans ONLY can gain admission via the main reception on production of your match day or season ticket or by cash payment of the match admission price.
RESERVED SEATING IN THE MAIN STAND
Supporters will be able to reserve seats in one block of the Main Stand on a first come first served basis, by calling the FC United office on Monday 25th March on 0161 769 2005. A maximum of 4 seats can be reserved per person. Those who have reserved seating need to collect a wristband from the FC United office accessible through the main reception on the day of the match. These wristbands will only be available until the kick off time of the match.
MATCH DAY DINING
We are doing a special match day dining offer for this fixture. This would be served at 6:30PM
It will consist of two courses. The main course will be chicken curry with all the trimmings and the dessert will be cheesecake.
The price is £22 inclusive of the admission price for non ticket holders and £10 for season ticket holders.
Match day dining is situated at the far third of the Main Stand function room.

The Dry Bar (Kazbar) under the Main Stand will also be open for food and non alcoholic beverages.

The Club Shop is accessible at the front of the ground to the right of the Main Reception. It will be open before the game and for 15-20 minutes after the final whistle. Please note: There is no entry to the shop at half-time, however there maybe a Merchandise stall inside the ground between the corner of the SMRE and Main stand with a few items for sale during the game.

THE FREE SHUTTLE BUS WILL NOT RUN FOR THIS MATCH
Supporters can take the 181/182 First Bus service from Lever Street in Manchester city centre, alighting outside the ground on St. Mary’s Road and departing from St. Mary’s Road after the match.
Alternatively, the Metrolink service to and from Rochdale runs to the Newton Heath/Moston tram stop from where supporters can board the 181/182 bus service from the Railway Hotel up to the ground.
CAR PARKING
We would urge supporters to use the car parks we have available for a charge of £5.00 at the ground, and for £3.00 at the nearby St Matthew’s School, only 3 minutes’ walk from the ground.
We are under a duty to ensure areas such as St Mary’s Road and the north of Nuthurst Road are not used by visitors to Broadhurst Park.
Supporters should be mindful that there is no parking on:
- St Mary’s Road and the streets off St Mary’s Road; including Teddington Road, Merridale Road, Worthington Street and Tymm Street.
- Nuthurst Road;
- the West side of Moston Lane and the streets off it.

Match reportFC United threw away a 3-1 lead against the ten men of York City and with it made their slim hopes of survival look even less likely, finding themselves five points from safety with six games left.
The evening had started positively, and to be honest a good chunk of the evening was the same, with FC looking dangerous from the off and just as they had done on Saturday they found themselves a goal to the good early on thanks to a well taken goal from Dale Whittam.
But as we’ve often done after taking an early lead, the team seemed to sit deep and invite pressure from the visitors. So it was no surprise that Macauly Langstaff equalised with a simple goal just before the half hour mark.
Whitham provided a moment of magic to restore the lead just five minutes later as he shifted the ball onto his left and fired home a beautiful goal from outside of the box. But the drama for the first half wasn’t finished there as Adriano Moke received two quick yellow cards in the space of three minutes for two needless and reckless challenges.
With a goal lead and against ten men a goal early in the second half would put FC in a dream position, that dream was realised within four minutes of the restart after some good work on the left by Bannister saw a ball floated into the box and cushioned into the back of the net by Kurt Willoughby.
Two goals up and with a man advantage it would take some comeback for FC to not take all three points from this, but if the truth be told FC’s performance dipped as the minutes went on and as the opposition became stronger towards the end, the FC players looked tired and out of ideas and there was nothing much positive from this point.
That being said when it got to the last twenty minutes and we were still 3-1 up, you felt we could still hang onto a precious three points.
The visitors grabbed a goal back through Wes York in the 72nd minute and four minutes later Langstaff grabbed his second to level the game and from a comfortable position at the start of the half FC looked like they were hanging on.
Some resolute defending and a few good saves from Fisher made sure we took a point away from the game, but with Guisley beating Curzon Ashton the gap between ourselves and safety became five points, but with goal difference we need to turn around six points over the Yorkshire outfit with just six games remaining.
It would be the most positive fan who believed we are going to pull this off now, but come rain or shine the Red flag will still be flying high and the key to any safety battle starts this coming Saturday when we welcome bottom side Nuneaton to Broadhurst Park.
