The Match programme is priced at £2.00 and is available to buy from sellers outside and inside the ground.

TURNSTILES

This match will be unsegregated and all supporters can gain access to the ground via turnstiles 1-6 at the St. Mary’s Road End of the ground or 9-12 at the Lightbowne Road End.

Turnstile 4 at the St. Mary’s Road End is a designated Donation turnstile which allows supporters to donate money in addition to the normal admission price. The DF Turnstile accepts Adults, Concessions, Juniors entering with a Season Ticket, Match Tickets or cash.

All turnstiles will open at approximately 1.30pm. Supporters arriving before 1.30pm can gain access to the ground via the main entrance in the Main Stand.

RESERVED SEATING IN THE MAIN STAND

Supporters will be able to reserve seats in one block of the Main Stand on a first come first served basis, by calling the FC United office on Friday on 0161 769 2005. A maximum of 4 seats can be reserved per person. Those who have reserved seating need to collect a voucher from the FC United office accessible through the main reception on the day of the match. These vouchers will only be available until the kick off time of the match.

MATCH DAY DINING

Our Match Day Dining situated at the far 1/3 of the Main Stand function room and is available to all supporters.

FC Match Day Dining includes:

- Match admission, seating or terracing
- Complimentary match day programme and team sheets
- Complimentary parking pass (1 for every 4 guests)
- Welcome drink and 3 course meal
- Cash bar
- Post-match Man of the Match presentation and interview

The meal will be served at 1pm.

BARS AND FOOD

There are a total of 5 bars at Broadhurst Park. Both home and away supporters will have access to all bars and food provision.

The club has been granted a licence to serve alcohol throughout the match and fans will now be allowed to drink alcohol on the terraces from plastic glasses. As a result all drinks will now be served in plastic glasses.

The Main Stand Function Room Bar will serve hot food together with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks before, during and after the match. We ask that fans purchasing alcohol in the Main Stand Bar during the game do not congregate at the back of the Main Stand, but instead find a position in the seats or terraces.

Before the turnstiles open, access to the Main Stand Function Room Bar is via the main reception by payment of the match admission price. After the turnstiles open, entry to the function room will be via turnstiles 1-6 or 9-12 and then through the seated area of the Main Stand.

The SMRE Bar situated under the large St. Mary’s Road End terrace will serve draught beer and bottles before the match, throughout the match and at half time. Only drinks served in plastic glasses will be allowed to be taken into the stands. Food will also be available in the SMRE Bar.

Our brand new Cask Ale Bar situated under the Main Stand, behind the Main Stand Paddock, will sell a selection of ales. Opposite the Cask Bar the Food Bar will serve hot food prepared by our chef, pies from J W Buckleys and non-alcoholic drinks.

In view of the pitch we have a Bar between the Main Stand and SMRE which serves sell draught lager and bitter. We also have a Bar situated next to the Burger Van in the North Stand (opposite the Main Stand). As well as serving draught lager and bitter, the new bar will also sell pies, peas and gravy. A second Burger Van will be situated in the Lightbowne Road End of the ground.

Please note the Main Stand Bar and SMRE Bars are No Smoking Areas. Supporters wishing to smoke at half-time can do so in the designated areas in the corners of the ground.

POUND FOR THE GROUND TICKETS

We are still raising money for the club’s Development Fund as there are parts of the ground we need to complete. The quickest and easiest way is to buy a Pound for the Ground ticket at £1 each at the match with cash prizes on offer.

CLUB SHOP

The Club Shop is accessible at the front of the ground to the right of the Main Entrance. As well as the usual hats, scarves and badges, we will also be selling the home and away replica shirts (shorts and socks) and a range of T-shirts and jackets.

The shop will be open before and after the game.

FREE WIFI

We have free WiFi at Broadhurst Park for all supporters to use. Supplied by local company Pennine Telecom, to access the service just search for FCUM-FreeWiFi, select it and set up a user account.

FREE SHUTTLE BUS FROM CITY CENTRE

This season Holts Brewery are kindly putting on a FREE shuttle 50 seater coach (Swans Travel) from the Crowne Plaza Hotel, next to the Hare and Hounds Pub at Shudehill in Manchester, stopping at the Railway Pub adjacent to Newton Heath/Moston Metrolink Station before completing the trip to Broadhurst Park.

The shuttle bus will make 3 journeys from Manchester and 5 journeys from the Railway Pub at the following times:

Departs: 12.10pm – Crowne Plaza Hotel at Shudehill
Pick up: 12.30pm – Railway Pub adjacent to Newton Heath/Moston Metrolink
Arrives: 12.35pm at Broadhurst Park

NORMAL BUSES

Supporters travelling from Manchester city centre can use buses 181 or 182 which depart from Stand F on Lever Street. These buses stop right outside the ground at the top end of St. Mary’s Road.

METROLINK

The nearest tram stop is Newton Heath and Moston on the Victoria to Rochdale line. It is a 15 or 20 minute walk up to the ground, or you can catch the FREE shuttle bus which departs from the Railway Pub opposite the Metrolink station.

TRAINS

Trains run between Manchester Victoria and Moston Train Station departing at 26 minutes past the hour arriving at Moston at 33 minutes past the hour. The ground is approximately 15 minutes’ walk from Moston Train Station. Trains return to Manchester every hour at 54 minutes past the hour.

BY CAR

From Central Manchester
From central Manchester head out of town on the A62 Oldham Road until the junction with Monsall Road. Turn left and pass Central Park Metrolink on your left and take the next right at the roundabout and follow the road ahead straight across another roundabout which takes you onto Lightbowne Road. Follow the road for around half a mile and you will see Broadhurst Park on your right hand side.

From the M60 – Clockwise
If travelling via the motorway network from the north and west, head for the M60 Manchester ring road. Leave the M60 at junction 20, then turn onto the A664. At the traffic signals turn left onto the A6104. Travel straight on and then at the Greengate roundabout take the 4th exit onto Lightbowne Road, the B6393. Carry straight on for around a half a mile and Broadhurst Park is on your left.

From the M60 - Anti-clockwise
If travelling via the motorway network from the south and east, head for the M60 Manchester ring road. Leave the M60 at junction 22, then straight on to Hollinwood Avenue, the A6104 . Travel straight on and then at the Greengate roundabout take the 1st exit onto Lightbowne Road, the B6393. Carry straight on for around a half a mile and Broadhurst Park is on your left.

CAR PARKING

We would urge supporters to use the car parks we have available for a charge of £5.00 at the ground and for £3.00 at the nearby St Mathews School, only 3 minutes’ walk from the ground.

We are under a duty to ensure areas such as St Mary’s Road and the north of Nuthurst Road are not used by visitors to Broadhurst Park.

Supporters should be mindful that there is no parking on:

- St Mary’s Road and the streets off St Mary’s Road; including Teddington Road, Merridale Road, Worthington Street and Tymm Street.

- Nuthurst Road;

- the West side of Moston Lane and the streets off it.

Curzon registered their first League win against FCUM in September at the 11th attempt.
The Nash are unbeaten at Broadhurst Park with 3-3 and 0-0 draws so far.
Striker Sam Madeley scored 11 goals in 35 appearances for FCUM between 2015-16. Madeley scored against Curzon in the 3-3 draw at Broadhurst Park in August 2015.
Midfielder Richie Baker made 3 appearances for FCUM during the 2017-18 season.
Kidderminster Harriers became the 5th club to score 4 goals in a half against FCUM on Tuesday, the others being Trafford (2007), Boston United (2010), Matlock Town (2010) and Worksop Town (2013).
Tom Greaves is now FCUM’s all-time leading League goalscorer with 87 goals in 213 appearances.

Fortress Broadhurst stands firm as FC United beat Curzon Ashton
After two tough away games against top six sides, the latter resulting in a heavy 4-0 loss, FC United needed a good result at home to local side Curzon Ashton on Saturday. A two nil win with a Steve Irwin penalty and a Connor McCarthy strike giving the Reds a welcome three points.

FC United kicked off facing the SMRE stand however it was the away team that started the brighter, the Nash established a neat passing game early on as they won the opening midfield exchanges. Both teams were trying to play down the flanks but ultimately there were no chances of note until the 26th minute when Danny Wisdom found himself on the edge of the Curzon box but Cameron Mason was equal to the task.

The game started to become scrappy with a few niggly fouls creeping in. Just after the half hour mark home goalie Lloyd Allinson was forced to make a fine stop from James Baillie when through one on one.

Shortly after the game exploded into life when Irwin was the victim of a horrendous challenge from Joe Guest, the Curzon fullback receiving his marching orders. The "handbags" that followed the challenge saw FC’s Zac Corbett and Curzon’s Daniel Shaw also receive yellow cards. Even with ten man Nash earned two corners in first half added time but to no avail.

Early in the second half Kieran Glynn was booked for dissent after disputing the decision of a linesman.

The Reds finally started to find some space, Wisdom making a great run down the centre of the pitch and then Glynn being sent on by Irwin which resulted in him being brought down by Mason. Penalty on 50 minutes.
Irwin, cool as cucumber, slotted the ball home to put United in front.

McCarthy had a couple of shots on target, one a really powerful rasping drive that Mason parried out for a corner.
Curzon were still playing their part in a entertaining second half Allinson being called upon again to make a good save from a counter attack.

The referee was called into action once again on 54 minutes, Glynn’s foul resulting in his second yellow card of the game and an early bath for the FC midfielder. Even though United had lost their man advantage they pressed on for a second goal. Irwin made good use of substitute Tyrell Palmer’s pace down the right and an inch perfect cross found McCarthy inside the six yard box, 2-0 on 72 minutes.

Another Irwin through ball sent speedster Jamal Crawford one on one with Mason, but the Nash custodian made a fine save.
The game reached it’s conclusion with no further chances but not for want of trying by both sides.

A gritty hard fought encounter ended with FC United taking the points, much needed in an increasingly tight division.

Man of the match : Really difficult decision with it being more of a ground out victory but Sam Baird gets the nod. Baird doesn’t start every week but when he does he looks like he’s played every minute as he never lets the side down and goes about his business like a seasoned professional.
