FC UNITED v SPENNYMOOR TOWN FC - Match Arrangements

On Saturday 29th December FC United welcome promotion chasing Spennymoor Town to Broadhurst Park, in the National League North kick off 3.00 pm.

The Christmas fixtures started well with a hard fought draw against Leamington last Saturday. We then fell apart in spectacular fashion at home against Chorley on Boxing Day.

We find ourselves back in the relegation places so a win against the team from County Durham is now a must!!!

Get yourself to that football ground!! Come on cheer the boys, FC make some noise!!!

Admission is by payment at the turnstiles which open at 1.30 pm.

Before the turnstiles open, admission can be gained via Main Reception on production of your season or match day ticket or by cash payment of the match admission price.

Admission prices are as follows

£12 Adults,
£7 Concessions
£ 3 under

RESERVED SEATING IN THE MAIN STAND

Supporters will be able to reserve seats in one block of the Main Stand on a first come first served basis, by calling the FC United office on Friday 28th December on 0161 769 2005. A maximum of 4 seats can be reserved per person. Those who have reserved seating need to collect a wristband from the FC United office accessible through the main reception on the day of the match. These wristbands will only be available until the kick off time of the match.

BARS AND FOOD

There will be three bars open.

The Function room will be open before, during and after the match for the sale of hot food, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.

The SMRE bar will be open for hot food, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks before and during the match.

The Cask Ale bar behind the main stand paddock will again be open for real ale before and during the match, and the Dry Bar opposite for food and non alcoholic beverages.

The chip cabin will also be open.

CLUB SHOP

The Club Shop is accessible at the front of the ground to the right of the Main Reception. It will be open before the game and for 15-20 minutes after the final whistle. Please note: There is no entry to the shop at half-time, however there maybe a Merchandise stall inside the ground between the corner of the SMRE and Main stand with a few items for sale during the game.

Inside the shop you will find the Home, Away & Third kits, Winter jackets and Hats plus much more! All the items above are also available online from our club shop website or you can order by phone on 0161 769 2005 during office hours.

To see what else there is in the FC Merchandise range and to order items online go to the FC United Online shop click here

BIG COAT DAY

FC United’s annual Big Coat Day will take place at the Chester game on 5th January.

There will be a collection of warm clothing at this game to go towards what has now become an event that helps define what this club is all about.

We are looking to collect both male and female clothes and all we ask is they are in good condition and are suitable for the circumstances. These vital contributions will help us make up packs to also include toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, food and soft drinks.

• Warm clothing (Big Coats, jumpers, fleeces etc.)
• Sturdy shoes / trainers
• Gloves, Hats, Scarfs, Belts
• Hiking gear (waterproofs, base layer, etc)

Evenwood Town were formed in 1931 and merged with Spennymoor United in 2005 to become Spennymoor Town.
Striker Glen Taylor is leading scorer in National League North with 14 goals including 5 penalties.
The Moors’ 7-1 win at Alfreton in December is the biggest away win in National League North in 2018-19.
Manager Jason Ainsley is having his 12th season in charge, a spell of over 600 games with 4 promotions, 5 League titles, two domestic cups and the FA Vase in 2013.
Clubs from the North East have won all 5 visits to Broadhurst Park to date. Darlington won 3-2 in August 2016, Spennymoor won with the same scoreline in August 2017, Blyth Spartans joined the party with a 3-1 win the following month, and the Quakers again took the points in April 2018 with a 2-1 victory. The pattern has continued in 2018-19 with Darlington once more winning 2-1 in October.
Goalkeeper Matthew Gould is the grandson of Bobby Gould, who won the FA Cup as a player with West Ham United in 1975 and as a manager with Wimbledon in 1988.

Embarrassing that we haven't produced/published our own highlights. We are the only team in the division without highlights for this day on the Conference website.
