Turnstiles officially open at 7.00 pm but there will be an early turnstile from 6.45 pm.

NO SHUTTLE BUS WILL RUN FOR THIS GAME

Supporters can take the 181/182 First Bus service from Lever Street in Manchester city centre, alighting outside the ground on St. Mary’s Road and departing from St. Mary’s Road after the match.

MATCH DAY DINING

Match Day Dining is available for this fixture.

It is situated at the far third of the Main Stand function room and is available to all supporters.

The meal will be served at 6.00 pm

BARS AND FOOD

There will be three bars open.

The Function room will be open before during and after the match for the sale of hot food, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.

The SMRE bar will be open before and during the match until the full time whistle, offering a full range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks plus food.

The Cask Ale bar behind the main stand paddock will again be open for real ale and the Dry Bar opposite for food and non alcoholic beverages.

The present Alfreton Town Football Club was formed in 1959 following the merger of Alfreton Miners Welfare and Alfreton United Football Clubs.
Alfreton have lost their last 5 League games. FCUM have drawn 3 and lost 4 of their 7 Home League games in 2018-19.
Manager Billy Heath guided North Ferriby to promotion to National League in 2015-16 via the Play-Off Final and repeated the feat with Halifax Town in 2016-17.
The sides have met 6 times and have yet to draw, both sides claiming 3 wins.
Midfielder Callum Chettle is the son of former Nottingham Forest defender Steve Chettle. Midfielder Jordan Sinnott is the son of former Watford defender Lee Sinnott who played in the 1984 FA Cup Final against Everton.

Match Preview: FC United vs Alfreton Town

'Check out our preview of tonights match as we host Alfreton Town in the National League North.

With four points from the last six on offer, things are definitely starting to look up for FC. Saturday’s hard fought 1-1 draw with Brackley at the weekend saw signs of good progress.

We are now looking for our first home win of the season in the league tonight when we welcome Alfreton Town to Broadhurst Park.

The visitors come into this fixture on the back of a heart-breaking stoppage time 3-2 defeat away to promotion hopefuls, Chester FC. This is compounded with the fact that they have now lost their previous five National League North matches.

A win could see us move to within three points of Alfreton, but more importantly, could take us out of the relegation zone.

With our next three games against Alfreton, Blyth Spartans and Hereford, who are floating just above the relegation zone, this is the perfect opportunity to build some momentum.

This fixture has been an exciting one in recent years, particularly at Broadhurst Park. In the last three meetings on our home turf, there has been 16 goals.

Last season we were victorious thanks to a late showing featuring a Jason Gilchrist penalty and an own goal, in the 87th and 90th minute to see us win 3-2. However, the reverse fixture was back in April and Alfreton won that game 1-0.

After two very positive results, and with Alfreton bottom of the form table, Neil Reynolds has plenty of reasons to be optimistic.

Stats:

• Last season Alfreton Town finished 17th in National League North with 49 points, 1 place and 1 point behind FCUM.

• In the FA Cup this season the Reds won 3-0 against Sutton Coldfield Town at North Street in a replay after a 2-2 draw, won 2-1 at Mickleover Sports and won 4-0 at home to St Neots Town. They play Fleetwood Town at home in the First Round Proper on November 10th.

• The sides have met 6 times and have yet to draw, both sides claiming 3 wins.

•On this date in 2010 FCUM won 2-1 against Colwyn Bay at Gigg Lane in an FA Trophy tie watched by 1259 with Chris Ovington and Jerome Wright scoring the goals.'

Late goal denies FC United victory over Alfreton Town

'An 88th minute equaliser from Alfreton’s James Clifton denied FC United a first home league win of the season with a 1-1 draw on Tuesday evening.

Former QPR midfielder Josh Wallen headed the Reds into the lead on 20 minutes on his second appearance for the club.

Neil Reynolds’ Reds controlled the majority of the game with some fantastic possession football but gradually tired and Clifton levelled late on for the visitors.

A win would have moved FC United out of the relegation zone but the draw leaves them two points from safety and unbeaten in three matches.

At times the men in Red put together some fantastic displays of passing and teamwork, that made it look like the victory was on the cards, but a lack of clinical finishing ultimately cost them in a game they dominated.

FC began the game well and the confidence of a victory and a draw in the last two games had certainly transferred to the play on the pitch, with ambitious through balls and darting runs creating early chances for both Lewis Mansell and Mike Donohue, who were both denied by great stops from Alfreton ‘keeper Sam Ramsbottom.

Ramsbottom’s stop from Donohue resulted in a corner which in turn resulted in the opening goal for FC United as Josh Wallen powerfully headed home the corner kick to grab his first goal for the club, following an impressive debut on Saturday.

The Reds had three great chances to add to their lead before the break but Kurt Willoughby was denied by Ramsbottom, before Mansell again saw his effort saved before Elliot Simoes saw his shot from the rebound go just wide.

Going forward FC looked more confident and Simoes grew into the game with each passing minute, trying ambitious turns and mazy runs that seemed to scare the Alfreton defence into heavy challenges every time.

The one negative was that for all the attacking football that was being created there wasn’t the clinical edge in front of goal and being a cynical fan on the terraces on a cold Tuesday night you sensed that a late sucker punch could be coming.

In the last fifteen minutes FC seemed to lose a bit of their momentum and Alfreton moved forward looking for an equaliser. Just when it seemed like FC would see the game out and take all three points a blocked effort on goal fell into the path of Clifton who fired home to level the scores with just two minutes left.

The late equaliser seemed to wake FC up and for the remaining few minutes they found their attacking mindset once more, but it was too late to mount anything substantial and a point would have to do once more for new manager Neil Reynolds.

The signs are encouraging for FC who moved to 21st in the league with their fifth point in their last three games. But with Saturday’s game away at Blyth being against a team just three places and five points above us it certainly helps having the positive mindset that the past few results has given us.

Website man of the match: Elliot Simoes – A great performance from the youngster who is starting to show great development after only a few months in the first team squad. Looked dangerous and, more importantly, confident when bringing the ball forward.'
