On Bank holiday Monday, 27th August, FC United travel to the Brewery Field, Spennymoor, DL16 6JN, to play Spennymoor Town in the National League North kick off 3pm.
Last season this fixture witnessed one of FC’s best away performances coming back from 1-4 down to draw 4-4.

FC United supporters should use Turnstile 7 on Wood View to enter the ground. Please note that FC United supporters will be welcomed in the Spennymoor club house The Moors Tavern both pre and post match.
Please note supporters coaches should drop off at The Moors Tavern and NOT the ground itself.
FC United will be running an official supporters coach to this match.
The coach will depart Broadhurst Park at 10 am, calling at Chorlton Street at 10.15 and TGI’s Prestwich at 10.30.
The cost is £19 for adults and £10 for under 16s.

Once inside the ground there are 226 seats available for supporters in the Ramside Hall Estates main stand. These seats are available on a first come first served basis, there will be no reservations on seats for supporters. The supporter’s marquee bar in the ground will be open from 1:30pm and is available to visiting supporters, it is located next to the main stand and whilst U18’s are welcome an adult member of their family accompanies them. Refreshment area facilities will also be open and available from 1:30pm,
Away coaches will drop supporters off at The Moors Tavern, which is open from 11am and then be sent away to park at the council offices at Green lane, Spennymoor, DL16 6JQ which is only one mile away for the coaches to drive.
The Moors Tavern is the club’s official clubhouse and is open to home and away supporters before and after the game (DL16 6QH) – just 80 metres from the Tees Crescent turnstile at The Brewery Field.

substantial car park.
All of the club’s facilities would be made available on arrival for travelling fans (toilets, bar, Live Sports) plus if requested (numbers in advance) pie and peas or a selection of sandwiches and Tea

At Junction 56, continue forward on to the A1(M). Leave the A1(M) at Junction 60, then at the roundabout take the first exit on to the A689.
At Rushyford roundabout, take the third exit on to the A167.
At roundabout, take the third exit and continue on A167.

Car Parking
Supporters are strongly advised to use public transport or utilise car sharing and give themselves plenty of time for travel. Supporters are requested to respect the surrounding areas and show consideration to neighbouring residents. The local police teams may ticket cars that are illegally or inconsiderately parked. Durham Road and Wood Vue tend to be very congested on match days so we recommend away supporters use the main Car Parks in the town centre, which is a short walk from the ground. Parking is free. Don’t however use the Iceland / Home Bargains car park as you are liable to get a fine or clamped after a couple of hours. All spectators are advised to arrive at least half an hour before kick off to avoid potential congestion at the turnstiles in Wood Vue & Tees Crescent which will be open from 1:30pm for both sets of supporters.

Evenwood Town were formed in 1931 and merged with Spennymoor United in 2005 to become Spennymoor Town.
Manager Jason Ainsley is having his 12th season in charge, a spell of over 600 games with 4 promotions, 5 League titles, two domestic cups and the FA Vase in 2013.
Spennymoor won the FA Vase in 2013, beating Tunbridge Wells 2-1 at Wembley watched by 16,751 with goals from Gavin Cogdon and Keith Graydon. They travelled 432 miles to play a semi-final tie against Guernsey FC.
In FCUM’s first visit to the Brewery Field in December 2017 they fought back from 1-4 down after 53 minutes to draw 4-4.
Sam Tattum made his FCUM debut in the 4-4 draw at the Brewery Field in December 2017.
Goalkeeper Bobby Gould is the grandson of Bobby Gould, who won the FA Cup as a player with West Ham United in 1975 and as a manager with Wimbledon in 1988.
