Leamington date back to 1891 and earned their nickname ‘The Brakes’ in 1937 when they became a works team for the Lockheed brake manufacturing company. Between 1988 and 2000 the club were in abeyance.
The Brakes were in Conference North between 2013 and 2015, finishing 13th and 21st.
Striker Ahmed Obeng netted for Rushall Olympic against FCUM in a 2-0 win at Gigg Lane in September 2013.
FCUM played at the New Windmill Ground in a friendly in July 2013, losing 0-3 to the Warwickshire side watched by 505.
The Brakes, with Gainsborough Trinity, have the joint-worst defensive record in National League North with 16 goals conceded.
The Reds now have 7 points from 7 games, one more than at this stage in 2016-17.
Tom Greaves is now joint-second for FCUM with Matty Wolfenden on 94 career goals.
Lloyd Allinson achieved a clean sheet in his 7th appearance for FCUM, the longest wait for any of the 16 who have. 7 kept a clean sheet on debut, Ashton, Ogden, Grundy, Spencer, Wilczynski, Basso and Schofield.
