The clubs have met once before, in an FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round tie at Gigg Lane in November 2011. FCUM won 2-1.
FCUM have won all 3 previous competitive visits to Moss Lane, beating Holker Old Boys 4-1 as the home club, and 1-0 (League) and 5-2 (FA Cup) against Trafford as the away club.
The 2-0 win at Stalybridge Celtic on October 10th is the only League win for the Robins in 2016-17. They have subsequently lost all 7 League games. Their last home League win was on April 23rd when they defeated Welling United 5-0 in their last National League fixture at Moss Lane.
Shaun Densmore and James Lawrie are the only remaining Robins players that appeared against FCUM in 2011. Lawrie is a Northern Ireland international.
Sam Sheridan made 5 appearances for Altrincham in the 2009-10 season. Scott Kay’s next appearance will be his 50th for FCUM.
Robins defender Kyle Brownhill is related to former FCUM defender Liam Brownhill.
In October striker Damian Reeves marked his 300th appearance for Altrincham with his 164th goal for the club.
